    Cold heater

    Hi everyone on the way to work my car is up to temperature at 90 and I have got cold air coming through the heater any ideas and all the gauges all turned up I too hot and still no hot air takes awhile for it to get a little bit of heat

    If it's not overheating and not losing water, I would say the thermostat has decided to give up the ghost of there could be an air lock in the system.

    Would be useful if we knew what engine/year ect but look at this thread posted today, on reply 3 (might be 4) there is a link to exploded parts list look in cooling then find your engine from there Identify parts required then google the part numbers should give you some idea of cost.

    I went for another drive last night and the temperature was at 90 then all of a sudden message on dash a/c turned off due to hot temperature and the dial was about 110 on the temp then within a few minutes went back to 90
    ?????????? Anyone else had this happen and Iíve ordered a new thermostat should be here today .

    I'd get to the bottom of the coolant leak, fix it, bleed and flush the system then see how it goes.

    The coolant system is pressurised, so it's no longer if your losing any.

    I change the thermostat on my car yesterday all the heating is back on lovely and warm car sits at 90 Celsius but occasionally goes over to about 100 Celsius still occasionally lose a little bit of coolant any ideas what this may be
