That’s the thing if I hadn’t turned engine on to see the first message again Then oil pressure wouldn’t have come on, and same today if I’d have switched off and left it or say parked up, put fuel in or something then back on, because it’s been few mins oil light wouldn’t have come on, just spoke to garage about it and he doesn’t seem overly concerned and thinks it’s possibly a lazy oil pressure switch not registering fast enough, but doesn’t think it’s the seal as it’s not behaving like the seal does such as cold mornings, mine was fine even with very heavy frost other day.
As for sump plug my first insignia I was sure it had been gunned in, could never remove it so just used a oil pump to suck oil out via dip stick, not ideal but with oil change every 6000 it didn’t have chance to sludge up.
