Hi,
I've got a 2010 1.9 CDTI. The cars done over 170,000 miles but still drives very very well and up until this week was bombing up and down the Motorway happily.
Something popped on the clutch pedal and after that the clutch came up higher so it was touching the top of the lining where the pedals were. That said though the clutch still worked fine. The biting point hadn't changed and the stiffness was the same. It stayed like this for about a week.
Then on Friday something properly snapped (i found a round piece of plastic about 3 inches long) and my clutch is now either on the floor, or if i pull it it pops up the the lining of the pedals part. I can't change gear.
As the tension and the biting point didn't change, do you think my clutch/fly wheel has gone (if so the cars getting scrapped), or do you think it's simpler than that??
Your advice would be highly appreciated.
Cheers
Boony
