Firstly, thanks to those who replied, I heeded the advice and connected the opposite way round to the way it fitted with the clip on the the reverse side and hey presto!! Im glad it turned out to be stupidity rather than a faulty product.

Fitted them during the day then took it a spin this evening. The difference on dipped beam was unreal, so much so it's hard to believe an upgrade of just a bulb can make that amount of difference... just hope they aren't too bright for oncoming traffic - i'll find out in due course i'm sure. Full beam resembles a floodlight.

All in all, im delighted and for only £35 they were a bargain. Providing they last the time i would highly recommend these.
