If it can just peel off wont it come off when water gets behind and freezes or sun comes out and heats everything up plastic contracts and expands with temperature change!

Water won't get behind it, it's basically rubber paint,
I think Pete h has also used this

Yep, I first tried vinyl wrap (sticky backed plastic), which worked on the fog light trims but the grille was too complex a 3d shape, so I used Frost Liquid Vinyl. Both have lasted well for the last 3 months, and show no signs of deterioration

If you search Frost Liquid Vinyl on YouTube, there's a guy who compares it favourably with PlastiCote

Lava Red with bi-colour alloys, full heated leather, reversing cam with park assist, heated front screen and steering wheel, blind spot monitoring, self parking (used once, it's crap!)
