Quote - A turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine is also available in two states of tune. The lesser-powered version produces 197bhp and 350Nm of torque, while the more potent GSi model has 227bhp and 350Nm of torque. End Quote-

I think they mean " the more impotent" GSI model has 227bhp and 350Nm of torque. It's breaking the trade description act giving that a GSI badge thead. The previous gen had 257bhp and 400Nm of torque. That's a massive difference, and with other manufacturers hitting around 300bhp from their 2ltr petrol turbos PSA are ruining the Insignia

I thought a 'shooting brake' was meant to have only two doors and an estate rear end.

We take a look at what, exactly, shooting brakes are and why we call them that.

For me I agree that the FF, Z3M (cracking car) and scimitar are shooting brakes but the merc they mention is more a sports tourer not a shooting brake...too many doors!!

To me the only difference is marketing.
It's all down to who you are trying to flog it to. For example you wouldn't get audi selling many 'Primer grey EFI Turbo awd estate' cars. But call it an RS6 Avant in Nardo Grey and they will sell it by the bucket load and charge what they like. They will even make you pay extra to have it painted in primer!

                I wouldn't say no mind!

Loads now on Youtube, tourer vids all in brown, which I don't think shows the lines best. Hatch gets twin exhaust trims like tourer vx line. New lights match new corsa, new engines I'm guessing, is to get away from having to license them from GM. Front to me looks more like Volvo but OK. Didn't see need to change really.

New Insignia GSI engine 230ps. Looks like it is no longer GM. Does anyone recognise where it comes from? Is it 508 or Citroen DS? Looks like an old Rover engine to me!

A pug engine in a vauxhall...
If the c max engine is anything to go by it will be riddled with problems, as it a variant of Peugeot's 1.6hdi

                              Noooo!

I think they have ironed out some of the problems with them now, but what a disaster that 1.6hdi has been over the years.
