I am just about to become (hopefully) the proud you enter of a Vauxhall insignia 2.0 cdti Sri ecotec (2010). It's done 90,000 had timing belt and pump at 83000 miles and seems like a very nice car for its haggled £2100 price tag. Before I press send, and collect, and granted it's short notice but it's private sale, but on the way ff chance that anyone is online be m w, any last minute advice or warnings or hints?

Ilunn, will do thanks. Just going to look at the paperwork now. Are there any early symptoms to look out for? I'll get it done ASAP anyhow if it's not an expensive job.
Rbh, thanks for that. I test drove several in the same budget, and they were mostly clankers that have not aged well. Have you had an insignia?

I'm sure someone suggested someone on here called Frank. I remember the figure of around 200 I think for him to complete the job.
Having just replaced my own due to low oil pressure warning on cold frosty start up I'd highly recommend getting this done as a matter of urgency. I saw how brittle the seal becomes.
I was getting quotes of around 800 if the gearbox had to be removed. Seems the gearbox can be drilled to get access to the 2 torx hidden by some gearboxes. I was lucky to have the cut out so decided to do it myself on axle stands.
