How hard is it to upgrade the sat nav to take postcodes?

How expensive is probably more important. If it's tricky but free, I'll bite.

Have you tried typing a post code in. My 2012 Sri nav (preface) took post codes. It just recognised what you were doing.

Or am I missing something?

You should be able to type the post code in the city box I think

Yep...I had the CD500 system in my old 2010 Insignia and you just popped the postcode in the City field.

Not tricky and free! As above, just type it in the City box, unless it's a new post code/area of course, then it will need updating.
