used to use them, not now. I don't don't like the water cutter, sorry super high pressure washer which, if finds a stone chip, lifts paint - and I don;t like the pre-wash acid they use either. Leaning over your car to dry it off scratching it at the same time with their zips. Can do the same job they do in an hour and fifteen minutes less the scratches and I clean ALL the car as well.
They're good for folk who can't,... can't be ars3d and aren't too bothered about their cars, but if you do take pride in your car - not good at all.

never been to a £5 car wash.
Father in law has a black merc which he takes weekly but when i go over his house i feel sorry for the car, you can see the damage.
have been to a shop jet wash for a rinse, spray on shampoo and rinse again to get the bulk of crud off a few times, that helps when i'm cleaning mine. Water pressure in my house is shyte and water board wont increase it so i'm using watering cans or pump sprayers.
Used to use the morrisons brush wash a couple of times a month on previous cars but i take more care now..

Those cheap hand car wash place are every where, nearly every corner i see one.
But for the price it is tempting for those cold winter months when you can't be ass, but i have never done it, my car gets neglected like Dave's and i wash it when i next can be bothered but i do get enjoyment out of washing my car rather than being a chore.
