  • What spec insignia has leather trim

Hi all. I’ve been looking at trading in my 15 plate insignia for a new insignia sport tourer. The only thing on my 2015 sport tourer vx line that annoyed me was the fact it didn’t have leather seats.
I watched a review online think it’s was car wow ??? Really nice red vx line sport tourer with nice leather seats , yet all I can see on auto trader is either cloth or what looks like half leather . I’m looking around a 19 or a 69 plate. Don’t really know what I’m looking for on the newer insignias
    Cheers all

Leather is standard on elite and VXR only.
Some Vx lines have leather if the option was ticked.
Some elites have the Vx line interior and or exterior option ticked so you get the leather sports seats and on autos shift paddles/flat bottom wheel.
Some of the best specs are in the early models but you are going back to 67 or 18 plate.
The last run of tourers in uk had a few options deleted like privacy glass, kick plates, load divider, lower spec infotainment etc.

    Hope this helps.

I was looking at the mondeo estate st line and although they look fantastic inside and out I don’t know if I can justify paying £25k plus for a car I don’t drive a lot ( I have a works van )
So I went back and looked at nearly new insignias and I was disappointed to see what’s out there . Not a lot of toys or leather etc but price was far better. I think the review I saw was a 2017 model and it had leather , adjustable or adaptive suspension I think he called it. Looked very nice. They also look a lot bigger than my older model insignia , are the newer version just longer as they appeared to be a lot more space in the back too which is what I want for my 3 kids haha
      Thanks

If you can afford to spend that kinda money on a car you don't have to justify anything

They stopped selling the tourer in the UK last year. When I first searched Auto Trader for one 20 months ago there were 82 that fit my criteria (auto, leather, 2.0d Vx etc) when I last looked there were less than 25 that came close most without leather.
I love mine though, moved from Insignia A Sri nav tourer to this. It rides better and has a massive boot more like the Vec c estate. Suffers though on noisy road surfaces and appears a bit thirsty, but I can live with that.

Have you had a look at Clark's of Ripon? They specialise in new-ish low mileage cars with higher than standard spec. They've currently got a2017 tourer with full leather for under £15k. Check out https://www.clarkmotorcompany.co.uk/...orth-yorkshire
And no, I'm not on commission, just a satisfied customer

That kind of money should get you into a VXR they have all the toys.

That 17 plate is nice. Maybe want a bit newer but it’s a nice motor , worth considering. I did look at the gsi but estate was big money really.

Me too I got mine there. They seem to seek out well specced models. Nice people to deal with too, not like a main dealer.

My ideal would have been the elite with the Vx line interior/exterior. They have the led lights and power tailgate.

When I was looking last year they had quite a turnover of cars, it's worth checking in a weekly basis. As a guide, my SRi was 12 months old, over-specced with heated full leather seats all round, rear camera etc, and it was £15.5k. with only 1700 miles on it.
                      Happy hunting

You could always give them a ring, ask if they have anything coming in? Mention my name if you want, Pete Harman, I bought mine last May.

I’ll give them a call. I just want an Sri vx line sport tourer but has to be leather and nav. I’m sure there’s loads of other toys on other models it those two are a must for me. I’ll give them a call. Although the mondeo st line estate is a lovely looking car I’m not sure it’s worth the extra for what i can buy an insignia for.
So am I right in saying the newer model is far more spacious than the older 2015 model ??

It sure feels bigger inside, and I now avoid some narrow country lanes around here that I bashed my mirrors on in my pre-facelift Insignia. Rear headroom is better, and the boot is more accessible.
