Apologies if this has been asked a billion times, and I know there is an element of personal preference in this. I have a 2l diesel 2012 with 136 bhp. I'm getting it remapped to 180 (on paper) with Celtic tuning. I'm also looking to get suspension and brakes upgraded too. At the moment it understeers like mad on the track. What are the recommendations for good reliable, quality kit?

Spend money on tuition instead. Will make you much faster and its easier to transfer between cars. Understeer is often just a matter of driving style, getting the car balanced and reacting to throttle and brake inputs is the key. You can spend a fortune, but if you are booting it too early in a corner its always going to understeer!
You see all the top racing drivers go to the same bloke with a boggo vauxhall astra. The cars, insignia included are already good. Spend the money on yourself instead

Thanks for the reply. Here's the full story. I'm starting a police chase driving experience with a Volvo C30 as the bandit car, and a Ford Focus and the Insignia police cars (I already have the cars as I have a business that hires police cars to the film and TV industry). My drivers are police advanced pursuit drivers and an experienced track driver. All agree that the Insignia simply can't keep up with the other two on the hairpins due to its handling.

Never gonna get an Insignia to turn into a corner and carry speed like a focus will. Well with the cost involved may as well buy something more suitable.
Maybe try the basics, suspension, tyres, remap, pedal box, and bigger balls!Usual Elite specification;Dancing lights, up/down windows, sliding seats, on board atlas, slippery seats, musical bumpers, storm detectors, tubeless radio, female knight rider communication system, all seeing windscreen, cherry air freshener, auto moaning passengers, learner driver, shiny door pins, rear boom box, Heko smoked window hats, rear window sunglasses, 10 million candle flame reversing lights, matching number plate lights, shiny pedals, front and rear all seeing eyes, fully integrated interrogation system, empty bank account .

I totally get what you say about using a more suitable car. The issue I've got is that the cost of conversion to a police car (lights and livery etc) is about £2.5k which is already invested in the Insignia. I've already got five cars so I don't want another just yet! I'll see how it performs with better tyres and the remap. I still think a stiffer suspension lowered about 30mm would make a big difference. I know you can get coilover kits from a couple of hundred quid to about £1,400 so I wanted to know what people's experiences were with suspension upgrade kits.
