I don't mind hire cars to be honest, I've had a few and all been fine.
I know what you mean with the hire cars, they are very well maintained as a rule. I have had fleet cars before with no issues but Enterprise Rent a Car no not for me especially as it was top money.
I think the dealer was genuine as the car was at another branch and maybe he was not told the whole truth but no worries all sorted now. I did like the Tourer though think they look great.

The estate I had was on a 18 plate and the saloon is on a 68 plate and there are a huge amount of changes to the "same" spec car. I know some will be options but many are just changes, how can they afford to do this God only knows I am sure Peugeot will sort them out .

Intrigued to know what specific differences you found - were both cars the same trim level (e.g. SRi)? My 18 reg has an 8" centre screen, blind spot monitoring, heated front screen, self parking etc, but I know many of these were options selected by the original purchaser.
                              2018 1.5T SRi Nav
Bi-colour 18" alloys, de-chromed grille and foglights, full heated leather, reversing cam with park assist, heated front screen and steering wheel, blind spot monitoring, self parking (used once, it's crap!), Nextbase 522GW front & rear dashcams

Yes the same spec SRi VX-Line Nav the dash layout has changed from a two pod setup to a flat I would say slightly more modern look both nice. Infotainment has a different look both 8" screens. No in car wifi hot spot on the newer one along with the deletion of onstar service. Seats in the estate drives mostly electric passenger nothing other than back tilt adjust in the saloon both seats fully adjustable strange? I think these are options estate full panoramic sunroof BOSE speakers, wireless charging and rear camera. No heated seats or front screen as in the saloon.
I am looking to get the camera fitted, I didn't realise how much I have used it, the last 3 cars I have had have all had rear cameras and the one on the estate was by far the best yet. No idea why I have no rear wiper most saloons don't but they are hatchbacks so a bit strange not a huge loss car looks better without it but handy I suppose.

I am sure I have missed some bits out but thats the main ones the onstar service is a great idea but ending this December my car has no mention of it anywhere so no redundant buttons come December.
