  • Newish Grand Sport

Hi all just purchased a Insignia Grand Sport SRi VX-Line Nav saloon on a 68 plate and thought I would say hello and introduce myself.

I am called Paul and from the North East of England. I am 52 years old and love my cars and bikes. This is the first Vauxhall I have owned since my Opel Manta days back in the late 80's I think, I am hoping it doesn't go bang like the last one did twice I am sure they have come on a long way since then. Anyway loving the car very comfortable even with the large alloys.

I hope to be picking your brains soon.

    Take care out there

    Paul

I had originally bought the Sport Tourer same spec level in black, I asked on the test drive if it had been a hire car and was told no. Later found out it had been a hire car so reluctantly I sent it back . The dealer by the way were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful, hence a great deal on my current saloon . I had the tourer for over a 1000 miles so a great test drive and also an excellent car.

I had a similar experience, bougth a Grandsport in Silver and was assured it had not had any paintwork done. (heavy snow when I viewed) - after 2 washes, I discovered it had received a full side respray, and the seller had also painted the front bumper and refurbed the wheels - sent it back and got a much better one. I don't mind hire cars to be honest, I've had a few and all been fine.
