    Grand Sport Diesel Question

    Forum Key Rings
Bit of a query more than anything but i'm currently running about in a 17 plate GS Sri diesel that is badged on the back as a "Turbo D", colleague at work has a 67 plate Sri diesel that is badged as "Ecotec D"....is there any actual engine difference between the two or was it just Vauxhall just changing the badging? They are both the same colour so bar the reg plate and that badge they look identical.

Well mines a manual and when i entered the reg into the hire car sites mileage tracker it comes up as this :-

Looking on the Insignia configurator on the Vauxhall site it lists the engines as follows :-

I know the lad at work mentioned he gets 55mpg out of his whereas i'm not really getting more than 46/47 currently.

So many variables are going to affect mpg. I average 36-37mpg, I would be happy with 46-47mpg!

Mine currently is 60+ miles a day from Chesterfield to Derby and back either over the tops and down the A38, M1 then A38 or M1 pretty much all the way. Not much knocking about locally at weekends but odd bit here and there. Colleague is out quite travelling from Matlock to Derby and back with lots of visiting customers around Derby and Nottingham. Other than him doing more miles i doubt there is a lot different in terms of the sort of driving it is.
