    Battery

    Last few days car struggles to start after been stood all night or all day. 10 - 15 seconds before firing. Stop start not worked for months. Don't do many long runs anymore and new cam with parking mode. Clip on tester said low battery, plug in voltage checker 12.1 v, battery charger said 12.4v
    Anyway disconnected battery and new charger now doing its stuff. There is a setting for AGM batteries [emoji4].
    Will see what happens, fingers crossed.
    What will I need to set up when reconnect battery. Guessing insignias are a pain [emoji23]

    Only just showing 50% so hoping a good charge is all that's needed.

            Just a cheap clip on tester. Low battery, 50% or 100%. Also check charging and over charging.

              Just been reading up on the AGM batteries and found out that it's worthwhile taking the battery off the car and charging it for 10 or more hours, if the car is hardly being used then the alternator will be struggling to charge the battery up as in this weather the alternator is working harder because more power is needed and giving the battery a good charge with the correct charger will give it a good boost, using the correct charger also helps to clean up the plates etc within---Dave

                  Also being reading . Agm batteries charge quicker than normal batteries due to lower resistance readings between cells.

                  Also alt is only designed to maintain battery not actually completely charge it.

                  Also found attached chart, which explains why lots of people's ss doesn't doesn't work.
                  Will charge for a few more hours tonight and again tomorrow.

                    My battery at rest after turning off dropped to 12v - 12.1v after just 3 minutes.
                    So definitely wasn't good.

                      Just the windows on pre/fl,guessing f/l the same ,drivers display will show sequence,but I could be talking a load of bull!!

                          It's still on charge. Charger changes input depending on what the battery tells the charger.

                          Don't expect it to get to 100% tonight, will give it another hour or so for today

                            I changed mine over 12 mths ago,lost cruise control etc,now yesterday was cold and wicked here,batt voltage was around 14-14,5volts on display,motor running,interior fan on.

                              2 1/2 hours gone from 2 bars to 3 bars and charging voltage has dropped.

                              LOL something to do on a cold boring night.
