    Hi all

Sorry if this is a stupid question but i am not mechanically minded at all...

I was looking to take advantage of the 50% euro car parts offer and order new discs and pads, the car doesn’t need them now but a 50% reduction is hard to say no too,

My question is do discs and pads have a long shelf life? Or should I just order when needed

As always - thanks in advance

Hi,Discs will be ok wrapped in their packaging or you could spray them with the likes of wd-40 for storage, clean them first before fitting!!Pads not known a shelf life as long as kept dry and in packaging, but have known for the bonding agent on shoes deteriorate over time.HTH.

I wouldn't worry about the 50% off at ECP

they're the motoring world equivalent of DFS/SCS

their discounted stuff is usually dearer than other places normal prices.

I 110% agree with Rabs statement.
It's like a bus with ECP , you miss one then another comes along not long after
Also the discount only applies with the more expensive ones
              Pagid, brembo
If you go for there discs made out of paper then NO!
I've got a pair of Mtec discs in my shead that have been there for 2 years , sealed in the box , just hope when I come to fit them they don't look like a warped record .
              Tally wackle ho
