  • Service park assist message

    Hi folks

    2016 1.6cdti Sri here.

I have been having issue with my parking sensors for a while now, the "service park assist" warning would come on everytime I started the engine but sensors would still work more often than not when required up until recently. Now they do not work at all.

I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting battery, disconnecting/reconnecting rear sensors(would have to remove front bumper to get front ones)and no change.

The parking sensor button light no longer stays illuminated but gives a few flashes then stays off.

Tried to find a fuse for the sensors hut can't find one for parking sensors/system. Only thing close is anti- collision which apparently are in the boot fuse box, which I cannot locate? I have removed the wee bit of trim on left hand side and also most of the trim as well incase I was being daft and missing it? Also had a sneak peek on right hand side too but not there. Am I missing something? Does my model have a boot fuse box?

Has anyone had this and been able to fix it or am i destined for a visit to ab auto electrician?

Any help or advice much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Steve

Hello Steve , which shape body have you got ? Saloon , hatch , estate .is it the front or rear ones ?
First thing have you an object in the line of fire ( big number plate surround , tow ball if rear ones .)
If none of the above , make sure you have not dirt on any of the sensors.
Failing that it will be bumper off to see if one has lose wire / disconnected wire .
So if you like getting down and dirty then that's your next port of call
Splice the main brace and let's set sail !

Steve....the boot fuse box exists in mine and as you say, its on the left hand side mate.
also a fuse box under the bonnet and inside the glove box.

according to the book, theyre under the bonnet - fuses 19, 20 ,30 and 32

they come under side obstacle detector

        Hi Lizzard-t

It's a 2016 hatchback I've got. All sensors are dirt free I'm afraid. No towbar or big number plate in the way either.

        Cheers
        Steve

          Hi RBH

          According to my owners manual

Fuse 19 is adaptive forward lighting
          Fuse 20 is fuel pump
Fuse 30 is right power seat
Fuse 32 is body control module

Once I figure out how to upload photos will do so to show that my boot fuse box doesn't exist.

Which is annoying as my manual states that fuses 19/20 in said fuse box are side obstacle detector....

          Help!

            That's really weird.
As I've went with the owners book.
There's also a couple of threads on here that state the same fuses.

Typical Vauxhall..... nothing is straight forward

            Rab.....

Would that maybe be the pre-facelift model? Dont understand why my owners manual would show a fuse box that I don't have though? Pretty frustrating.
