    Hi,

Does anyone know if the chrome trim clips over the rubber trim on the doors? I have the black rubber trim and a cyclist damaged my rear passenger door and I can only find chrome trimmed doors Click image for larger version

I got the PM but for some reason you slipped through. You're not usually able to use the PM facility until you've made 50+ forum posts. I haven't got a clue tbh. I thought all had the chrome trim. What model is yours?

If the other models are anything to go by then you will either get a chrome trim or a black trim.

The chrome trim won't fit over the black trim.

Ah that's frustrating. Anyone know where I can get that? or am I going to have to order a completely new door?

              Thanks

How bad has the cyclist damaged the door? Do you have any photos? Is it the trim they've damaged or the door itself?

Sorry, my bad I didn't' get a notification anyone replied - the trim is fine, it's the door itself that's badly dented.

Wow he's given that a whack!.....So you're looking to get another door but they only have the chrome trim? If your trim is undamaged you can just swap it over when you get another door. Is it worth getting one of those paintless dent repairers to have a look at it? It's surprising what they can do.

Yeah, he was a big guy. The only thing there is i have zero clue how to take it off properly or putting it back so if anyone has experienced some insight would be greatly appreciated.

If you buy a brand new door you won't get the trim.
The trim comes off your own door and is reused.

Same with a 2nd door, if it's chrome trim, take it off and out the black trim on.

It pushes on and is held on with clips.

I'll purchase a second hand and give it a go i think, meanwhile is there any diagrams / videos about? can't find any - If i'm gonna spend a few hundred bones on a new door I wanna make sure i don't destroy either of the trims
