  • Potentially broken boot lock

Riiiight, so i may have been way more stupid than normal today.

While adding in an extra boot light today, i flicked the boot lock closed with the metal part of a key (just to turn off the boot lights).

Then tried to just close the boot softly, forgetting it was already locked. It just collided and didnt lock, obviously.

However, now the boot lock wont open back up with the key, or the boot open switch.

... So, have i 100% broken it? Or could it be an electrical connection that may have come loose when i tried to close the boot?

      hi mate

When you say the boot motor opening switch... do you just mean the switch you use to open the boot?

      Thanks

        Hi,
        Yeah just the switch really:
Around 70 were made in the first year before the car was improved with wheel steering and a reverse gear in 1904. During the second world war car production at Luton was suspended to allow Vauxhall to work on the new Churchill tank.
