    Where can I get the tool to do the long sump bolts.my friend is doing the oil pump gasket and says it seems to be a special tool to get sump off

        Most motor factors will have the length you require, I ended up just using flat head screwdriver as they aren't that tight

              Have you got the car to hand at all ?
              It's like a piece of string that question
              Surely ( I know yiur names not Shirley) if your friends doing it he must be able to give you a pointer .
              I purchased a set of thease cheap but effective.

                Car is at friends and all his torx bits won't fit or are too wide.I'm not there to see for myself.

                  Ok I've just crawled under my car ( yes ok it's a Saab 9-3 )
                  But I've got T40 sump bolts . So any good motor factors ( not hellfords)
                  Should be able to supply one .or look on amazon you may be able to get a super duper set like mine .and maybe within 24 hours if needed .
                  49-20 rubber sump gasket

                    I'd say around 300mm to be safe, unfortunately can't remember the size but t40 as lizzard posted sounds about right

                      I brought a long bit that holds bits in a drill in a pack for £3 with the bits to from a local shop like b and m

                            As I said a good long screw driver got mines out easily, there not much tighter than hand tight I think around 14nm I think
