Insignia touchscreen problem

Hi new to this site so hi everyone
Just bought a 2016 insignia tourer
The screen turns on when I start the car then every 5 seconds turns off and then back on
So can’t use any functions on the touchscreen
Any advice would be much appreciated

A bit more info , what infotainment system you got
Do the indicators still tick tick , is everything else working as it should
Dose radio work ( sound ) .
Have you had any work done on the car around that Aera ?
Did you by it privately?
Have you tried my dads old trick ( god bless him ) of whacking the dashboard in that Aera like Basil Faulty ?

The Insignia'battery disconnect' to sort the 'Gremlins'

If the battery disconnect doesn't fix the gremlins then the screen needs replaced.

During the 'off' periods do sounds and music still work?

Hi it’s a R700/Navi 900
Yes indicators make a sound when on
Stereo and CD player both work

Yes it still works so does the on screen parts on the dashboard

Does the backlight of the screen stay on or goes black?
