Hello Everyone, im Danny. just bought my first Insignia (a facelift techline tourer, cdti 130). My dad bought a hatchback and beggining of year and when i had a go i decided i wanted one. My last car was a 1.9 astra so i thought i (kinda) knew the engine from a maintenance pount of view. I didnt know about the dreaded oil seal issue till i joined a couple of groups on facebook though. I have no signs with my car, but ill be getting it done pretty sharpish, along with oil pump n timing kit i think just to be sure. Since its already on 180k 😳.
Ill know doubt have a few questions for you gurus over the coming weeks. Everythings a bit more advanced than the astra was, and from what ive gathered so far retrofits seem like they'll be be alot harder to do than with the astra. Hopefully you guys could help me fill in some blanks, as theres a few extras id like to add if its possible.
Not sure how to add a pic of my car to the thread, or even if i can? Its still boggo standard anyhoo im sure youve seen one before 😂
