went to tescco superstore last week with swmbo(like you do)and managed to give her the slip,wandered down to the car parts isle and noticed they sold 5lts of dexron/2, 5-30 fully synthetic for ?23!!,it stated on the label for Vauxhall/Gm and Bmw.seems like a good buy.

5w30 dexos 2 is the norm for the 160 cdti.

Shell Helix Ultra Professional AG is only ?17.59 at eurocarparts using their current discount code for 20% off. It is Dexos 2, cheaper, and much easier then waiting in for a delivery!

Eurocarparts can be same day delivery but I wasn't saying about the time. Just that it is easier to go and pick up at a convenient time rather than wait for a courier to deliver any time between 8am and 6pm. The shell stuff is Dexos 2 so is at least as good as, and could even be better than the GM stuff. Given it is cheaper too there is no reason not to buy it!

It looks like it is Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 C3 which is the dexos2 approved oil. Doesn't mean you can't use b1, but obviously there is something about it meaning it doesn't meet the dexos2 standard.
