  • Any fellow teachers.........

    Evening gents/ladies,

If you are teaching kids and are involved in teaching Personsl and Social Education/PSE/Guidance classes, here's a wee clip we use regarding knife crime. If any of you want or could use more materials like this or have some to share please do so, no matter what the topic.

This is the edited version. There is a full one.

It's pick up what's closest or take something with you. What these kids don't realise is 76% of stab victims get stabbed with their own knives!

18 yr old stabbed to death in Uddingston on Friday night. Another stark reminder.

This is what we show our 15/16 yr olds. Pretty graphic but hits home.

If she can pass things on the more that put the message out the better.

Exactly. Your parents were hard as nails with you and you'd rather the police gave you B&B for the night instead of face him or my mum!!!!

Glasgow has reduced its knife crime/culture by 56% over the past 5 years. All down to the Crime Reduction Unit. Go in hard where it's needed and sort the wee tossers out. You were 5 times more likely to be stabbed in Glasgow than in London in 2010! Now Britain's capital of knife crime is the North East. Hartlepool, Middlesbourgh, Redcar etc. It'll get worse before it gets better. The NED culture is still alive and well.

We have a Campus Police Officer. Based in our school but there to educate not criminalise kids.

If you think Knife crime is bad, don't get me started on Sexting and stats with teenagers watching porn!! That will shock you even more. Love my job.

Our Relationship Education (Sex Ed) is being totally revamped. One thing I never thought when I started teaching 20 years ago was that I would be teaching about porn and Sexting in schools. Sign of the times. Lock up your sons and daughters and keep them off social media.
