Firstly, apologies for another HID question. Ive read through quite a few threads looking for a recommendation, but tbh, im even more confused.
My headlights are shocking. Looking to replace asap, and see loads of recommendations for HIDs, and heres where my confusion starts....

I had a problem with my hids flickering and also one side just lighting up, ive had hids fitted to both my Vecs

i remembered today on my last vec i had the same problem, so i removed the bulb error canceller, all working, no faults on display

Always hated my yellow lights, finally sorted it today! Bought a HID kit from eBay, cost £15, looks and works great!

9012 LED or HID?
Am quite happy self fit either, spend most of my time semi rural poor or no street lighting and am torn between the longevity and instant on 4000lm 6.5k LED, or 5k HID in 35w? or 55w?, which I know in all probability will put more light on the road than the LED’s..

hope that someone out there can advise, i have checked threads unfortunately none the wiser, I previously had HIDS fitted to my Vectra C made a massive difference, currently i have a 2012 SRI CDTI Insignia, lights are useless to put it mildly, is it possible to fit HIDs on my insignia...

Only 1 shown , but the pair will be sent , i bought them as 5000k a little to blue for my liking

im only asking to cover postage costs , so basically free

i currently have a hid kit fitted 55w 5000k, one of my bulbs has gone, so im thinking should i get replacement bulbs ? or Leds

Its just if you need to flash your lights hid have a slow warm up so not very effective, anyone used both hid and led for comparing

hi guys my cars going in for its first mot this week

I know it all got changed last year

is it still a case remove my hids and put the stock bulbs in on

are some mot stations letting it go

going to upgrade my lights, i'm pretty convinced ive got the hir 9012 bulb but i'll confirm that when i take a look and get a chance in the glorous welsh weather we currently not receiving (its a 2014 facelift and some web sites confirm it anyway but best and easier...

im getting my new insignia vx line on saturday, do they have hid as standard , or will i need to retro fit as i did with the vec

Morning! I have had HIDS fitted to my car for just over a year now and been working great however I got in the car his morning and noticed that although big lights were on, they weren’t nearly as bright as they usually are, could the cold have affected them? (It was -3) or are they on their way out...

How well are the standard reflector headlights with aftermarket hids, is the pattern ok?

I understand it's officially a no-no, but I've put hids in other cars with reflectors and they worked fine
