A car dealer friend of mine once said...a dirty engine is a good engine...

That's true.
When looking at a standard used car if the engine is very clean they maybe trying to hide some oil leak.

This is mine mainly round town driving. Tbh I don’t really care about mpg i put diesel in and when it needs more i fill it up

Yh im mainly the same... ut going from my vectra to this now...its shocking

Anyway i live in london and going up lincolnshire this weekend....
Doing around 240 miles there and back...
My vectra done it with 30£.....and done the route several times....
Will see how will this do....

Maybe....im thinking of something...
My intercooler pipe is split....
Which means im loosing power when pushing the car ....limp mode...until e gine is switched of then back on...
I didint fix it yet because im searching for an aluminium intercooler kit for it ...
So...maybe this is causing the bad mpg?! ...

I’d say yes a leaking intercooler pipe will reduce your fuel consumption

I had a 2.2 petrol omega before and I’d get 18-20 round town!!!!! So anything is better than that

On a run you should get 40-45 thats what i get in mine
