  • Heated seat recall?

I’ve heard there may have been a recall on the faulty heated seats for a MY2011. My local dealer tells me ‘No’.

Was there a recall, and does anyone have any links or details of it so I can show my dealer?

This is the field remedy however they stopped carrying out work on this in December 2013 so good luck with the case. in addition I'm oretty sure that this didn't affect MY11 vehicles as modified parts were introduced into production from 6th Jan 2010

            Field Remedy: 2637

Subject: Seat Heating - After 60 seconds inoperative

            Models: Engines: Option:

Insignia 2009...2010 All Only vehicles with RPO-Code EAE or EAF

            Complaint:

Seat heater malfunction - heating stops after 60 seconds - DTC B2425/0D and B2430/0D can be set.

            Cause:

Insufficient routing of the seat heating wire from the seat cushion to the flange (design fault).

Production: As of VIN: W0LGT5EM5A1052930, (06-Jan-2010) improved seat heating mats with a new design have been introduced in production.

            Remedy:

In case of customer complaint measure the resistance of the front

            seat heating.

If the vehicle is one affected by the chassis number range specified and the repair has not been carried out to date, then there is no reason why not. I had the power steering repair carried out without question years after the TSB expired.
