insignia sri

[Lost in translation]

hello i am due to pick up my insignia sri cdti next week i am buying it off a friend whos had it for 3 yrs its a 2011 61 plate with 34,000 miles he is getting a bit fed up with it as he does about 3,000 miles a year doing short journeys it trys to regen quite often.
this will be my first car with a dpf i will be doing approx 13,000 miles a year.
my question is about the cambelt the car is 7 yrs old should i get the cambelt/ water pump changed due to age or wait till the next service ?

it wouldn't hurt getting it done,and waterpump too,first thing I would do is add some cattaclean to the diesel and give it a good motorway run ,to give dpf a good clean out . welcome to the forum too

+ oil/filter and fuel filter,would be a good start point from when you take ownership.

thanks i think i will book it in for a cambelt water pump then i have a clean sheet to work with what is the recommended intervals for the cambelt
