      I stopped to let Norman Collier cross the road once in Hessle. He waved to thank me then dropped his jacket off his shoulders and did his chicken walk.

                      I was staying in Birmingham at the beginning of this week in Broad street. There in the hotel were the South African woman’s netball team staying in the hotel to. Wow there’s only so much Lycra clad female bottoms one man can handle over breakfast

                              My dad met the Queen in 1975 or 76 when she visited Silverwood Colliery,Rotherham.They actually painted the coal white on the seam she visitedthead

                              My lad met the Brownlee brothers at the training facility that bears their name in Adel,Bradford, really nice lads



                              Over the years I've had a beer with Bruce Dickinson(Iron Maiden) in the Wapentake,Sheffield.Drank with loads of Punk bands in the 80s too.Met Debbie Harry in the mid 90s and yes she was still fit.Also met various professional cyclists,Wiggins,Cavendish,Voeckleur etc and almost got in a ruck with Chris Waddle and Carlton Palmer in a Sheffield City centre pub.
