    Hello,

    My name is Janar. I am a young bloke from Estonia. I work in the field of logistics, but also like electronics and cars.
    I own a first gen '11 Opel Insignia Sports Tourer SW (what does "SW" mean btw?). I've had it for about 8 months. Before that I owned VW Passat B5 1,9tdi 81kw automatic, which is a great car btw. I've also owned 2x Opel Ascona B's when I was about 13-15.. just for fun and rally. Also Opel Omega B facelift for a short time.. It was rubbish junk, which I bought for fun

    I've had some problems with the siggy so I decided to join forum and share my problems, hopefully get some solutions also.
    Anyways.. A pic of my siggy:

      Yeah, thats probably it.
      Well the car looks good on pics, but at close it has some scratches here and there. Also varnish (is that the right word?) peels off from the hood. About 4cm x 2cm patch. I think painting the whole bonnet would be expensive. I have to look into that. It doesnt bother me much tho... But I think it will get worse. The car has not been involved in any accident or anything... I've heard that this varnish peeling is a common problem with Opels...

        varnish = lacquer.
        usually lacquer peeling is caused by really strong heat/sunlight or a poor repair.

        why not try breakers yards for a bonnet ( hood ) in the same colour....would be less expensive than painting.

          Well the car was imported from Italy to Estonia in 2014. It had about 140k km on the clock then. Pretty much for 3 years of driving, since the car is 2011. It has seen some sunlight I guess. Probably a few cold winters and a few hot days in the summer In estonia have made their work also. I think once it starts peeling it wont stop.

          Contacting breakrs yards is a good idea. Thanks!
